Checklist for Manuscript Submission

Before submitting a manuscript, please make sure that the manuscript adheres to the "Uniform Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly work in Medical Journals" recommended by ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) and published by PMC/PubMed. Here is the checklist that has to be prepared before submitting a manuscript in EJMS via online submission.

  1. Cover Letter from Correspong Author
  2. Title Page & Manuscript Outline [Click to download template]
  3. Manuscript [including abstract, tables, figures and references]
  4. Supplementary files (if any) 

Submission to the Journal should be made through the online system. New users need to Register with the website of the EJMS to make an Online Submission or you can follow this link: https://www.europasianjournals.org/ejms/index.php/ejms/about/submissions. Authorship Criteria

EJMS follows the recommendation of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) for authorship. Manuscript Preparation

EJMS offers authors the opportunity to submit a wide range of manuscripts to provide the opportunities to disseminate all types of researches. The manuscript has to be prepared in accordance with the uniform general requirement for the manuscripts submitted to Biomedical Journals developed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Here is a brief summary of each type of manuscript and its specific requirement to be submitted to EJMS.

  1. Original Article: Abstract should be structured into Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions, and keywords. The word limit for the abstract is 250. The main body should be in IMRAD format. Word count: 3500 to 4000 words including abstract and references. Explore More ++
  2. Short Communication: Structured abstract (250 words), Total word count: 2000 to 2500 words with abstract and references. Explore More ++
  3. Systematic Review and Meta-analysis: Structured abstract (300 words), Total word count: 3500 to 4000 words with abstract and references. Explore More ++
  4. Narrative Review: Unstructured abstract of 250 words. Word limit: 4000 to 5000 words with abstract and references. Explore More ++
  5. Case Report: Unstructured abstract of 250 words. Word limit: 1800 to 2000 words with abstract and references. Explore More ++
  6. Viewpoints/Opinion: Abstract is not required. Word limit: 1500 to 2000 words with abstract and references. Explore More ++

In-Text Citation Style

Referencing Style

Manuscript Submission

First-time users will have to register at the website of the journal in order to submit their manuscripts. Registration is free but mandatory to submit your manuscript. You can register by following this link: https://www.europasianjournals.org/ejms/index.php/ejms/user/register

After registering with your basic information and email, click on the "Make a Submission" option. Then a page will appear with the checklist for submission along with the detailed author guidelines. Go through it, if you have prepared the manuscript and other necessary documents as per the manuscript preparation checklist, click on "Make a New Submission". To submit your manuscript online, you have to complete FOUR steps: Start, Upload Submission, Enter Metadata, and Confirmation.
1. START: In this initial stage of submission, the author has to choose the section of the manuscript and accept the terms and conditions of the journal. ...... Explore More ++

UPLOAD SUBMISSION: This is the second step of manuscript submission, where authors have to upload all the submission-ready files: Cover letter, Authorship, Declaration Form, Letter of ethical approval, Manuscript file (including abstract, tables, and figures), and other supporting documents if any. ...... 3. ENTER METADATA: This is the second last and crucial step of submission, where the author has to enter the Title, Abstract, Keywords, and details information of all the Contributors. ...... Explore More ++ 

4. CONFORMATION: This is the final step of online manuscript submission. Click on "Finish Submission" then one pop-up window appears asking you that "Are you sure you wish to submit this article to the journal?", click "Ok" if you wish to submit it. ...... Explore More ++ 

Manuscript Formatting

The official font of EJMS is Times New Roman with 12 point font size, double spacing, and page margins of 2.5 cm from all four sides. The title should be in Title Case.
