Digital Archiving and Repository Policy

Digital Archiving Policy: EJMS uses the digital preservation systems of LOCKSS and CLOCKSS licenses for archiving through the OJS (Open Journal System). CLOCKSS, or Controlled LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), is a shared dark archive that runs on LOCKSS technology. LOCKSS is an open-ended program in which all libraries can participate in its global network.

CLOCKSS is a global archive that preserves content on behalf of all libraries, publishers, and scholars worldwide. It’s content is hosted on 12 servers around the world, at leading academic libraries, with robust infrastructure and security. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publicly accessible but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website. CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain its own archive of content from the publishers, with minimal technical effort and using easily available hardware support system.

Repository Policy: EJMS does not have its own digital repository. Author(s) are allowed to deposit the published contents of the journal in their own repository or any other third-party repository of their choice.
